7 BIG MISTAKES TO AVOID AFTER A MOTORCYCLE OR BICYCLE ACCIDENT I got the idea for this book dedicated to cyclists because I am one. I ride my bicycle a lot. I am an avid triathlete and I participate in long distance rides. Members of my staff ride motorcycles, and some of my staff are cyclists as well. I am the attorney sponsor for one of the largest triathlon clubs in the country, so I am involved in a lot of conversations regarding the need for safer roads for the cycling community. Unfortunately, I have had to represent numerous motorcyclists and bicyclists involved in accidents on our roads. If you are like most people, this is the first time you have been in an accident. You have questions. You are getting calls from the insurance company representatives, wanting to ask “just a few questions.” The insurance company may be pestering you to sign their forms “so we can get the records and handle this for you.” They may even already have offered you money to settle your claim. Peter Steinberg has been representing individuals against insurance companies since 1980. He attended the University of California at Berkeley and Southwestern University School of Law. He has practiced personal injury law exclusively since his graduation in 1980. Visit SteinbergSpencer.com to review his full biography, as well as those of all of the attorneys at Steinberg & Spencer Injury Lawyers. |
